Does GroupMe Notify Screenshots? How to Take Screenshots on GroupMe?

A short and direct answer: No. Unlike some other apps like Snapchat, GroupMe does not notify a user or the group when you take a screenshot. Plus, this application itself does not have a built-in screenshot feature, so you can choose to use your device's standard screenshot function or third-party screenshot software. 

For iPhone:

• Press and hold the side and volume up buttons simultaneously. Or the side button and the home button together.
• Release quickly. The screenshot will be saved to your Photos library.

For Android:

• Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.
• Hold for about a second, then release.
• The screenshot will be saved to your Gallery or Photos app.

Note: Some Android skins may have different methods. Check your phone settings if the button method doesn't work.

On Mac:

• Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3 to capture the entire screen.
• Or Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4. Your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to select only the GroupMe window for a cleaner screenshot.
• Screenshots will save as a file on your desktop by default.

On Windows:

You can use keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots. Press Windows key + Shift + S to select a specific area within the GroupMechat window. Step 2. (Optional) To capture your phone screen, switch to the “Device” tab,  select your device's operating system, and connect your phone to the computer following the on-screen prompts.

Step 3. Click the “Screenshot” tab, choose a desired capture size, then click the big blue screenshot icon to start.

Step 4. Click “Save” to store the screenshot locally.
