Can You Screen Share on WhatsApp? How is it Done?

Yes! You can. With the latest update in WhatsApp, you can screen share while on active video calls, including group video calls. Plus, the screen sharing is protected with end-to-end encryption and will never be recorded by WhatsApp. Follow the steps below to share your screen on WhatsApp video calls:

Step 1. Start a WhatsApp video call and click on a new phone-sharing icon on the bottom navigation bar where the video controls are located.

Step 2. Tap on the screen-sharing icon, and your phone will show a prompt indicating that you are starting to record or cast with WhatsApp. 

Step 3. Click on the "Start Now" button to begin screen-sharing. 

However, this screen recording feature has not been available for audio calls until now.
